• The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs)

• The Queensland Code of Conduct for Health Care Workers under the Health Ombudsman Regulation 2014 (Qld)

What We Collect

We only collect information necessary to provide safe, effective care.
This may include:

• Your name, date of birth, contact details, and emergency contact

• Relevant medical and health history

• Lifestyle and wellbeing information shared during consultations

• Enquiry details you provide through our website or booking form

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

• Assess, plan, and deliver naturopathic, remedial, and pregnancy massage treatments

• Conduct dry needling or other therapeutic interventions safely

• Maintain accurate client and financial records

• Communicate about appointments, care plans, or follow-up

• Meet professional and legal obligations

We will never sell or share your data for marketing.
Information is only disclosed with your consent, or if required by law (e.g. subpoena, risk of serious harm, or mandatory reporting).

Storage, Security & Retention

• Records are stored securely (password-protected or locked files).

• Access is limited to authorised personnel only.

• Records are kept for at least seven (7) years after your last treatment (or until a minor turns 25).

• After this period, records are securely destroyed or permanently de-identified.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access or request a copy of your record

• Ask for correction of inaccurate or outdated details

• Withdraw consent for information sharing (where lawful)

• Make a privacy complaint if you believe your information has been mishandled

Informed Consent for Treatment and Information Handling

Before any naturopathic, remedial, pregnancy massage, or dry needling treatment is provided, clients are given clear information about the nature, purpose, and potential benefits or risks of the proposed care.
Clients are encouraged to ask questions and make an informed decision about whether to proceed.

Written or verbal informed consent must be obtained prior to treatment and may be withdrawn or amended at any time.

By providing consent, clients also acknowledge that relevant personal and health information may be collected and securely stored for the purpose of providing safe, effective care.
No treatment or information sharing occurs without the client’s explicit consent, except where required by law (for example, where there is a serious threat to life, health, or safety).
